The South chancel was added in the 14th century and contained an altar
to St Margaret. Its original form was much altered by Major Munn about
1850 - a new, higher roof, new windows and two arches from the nave
instead of one. The box pews were put in 1855, but in the aisle is a
good brass to John Cely and his wife Isabella, 1426. John is dressed
as a knight in armour. He was executor to the will of Dionisia at Lese
in 1404.
